Ingredients:

• 5 lbs chuck roast

• 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

• 3 tbsps vegetable oil

• 3 tbsps butter, salted

• 4 cups beef broth

• 2 cups red wine

• 1 large carrot, peeled & sliced

• 2 cups potatoes, diced

• 1/2 cup celery, chopped

• 1 large onion, diced

• 1/2 cup peas, frozen

• 1 tbsp dried parsley

• Salt & black pepper to taste

Instructions:

1. Press the “Manual” button and then the “Sauté/Brown” button on your Crockpot Turbo Express. Add vegetable oil and allow it to heat up.

2. Season the chuck roast with salt and black pepper on a plate. Coat it with flour, ensuring no spots are left bare.

3. Once the Crockpot Turbo Express is hot, add the chuck roast and remaining flour and seasonings. Brown the roast on all sides.

4. After browning, add butter, red wine, and beef broth to the Crockpot Turbo Express. Close the lid and ensure the valve is shut. Press “Manual” and then “Turbo Express”. Set it for 1 hour and press the “Start/Stop” button.

5. Once done, release the valve to allow steam and pressure to escape.

6. Remove the lid, shred the meat, and return it to the pot along with the prepared vegetables.

7. Press the “Simmer” button on your Crockpot Turbo Express. Let the stew simmer for about 15-20 minutes to enhance flavors and cook the vegetables.

8. If desired, create a cornstarch slurry by mixing 1 tbsp cornstarch with 1 cup of water. If the stew needs thickening, add the slurry. If the stew is already thick enough, skip this step.

9. Serve the stew with your favorite crusty bread and enjoy!

Notes to Make It Even Better:

• For a deeper flavor, marinate the chuck roast in the red wine for a few hours or overnight before cooking.

• You can customize the vegetable selection according to your preference.

• Garnish with fresh chopped herbs like thyme or rosemary for an extra burst of flavor.
