This dough is smooth and pliable and dries to a beautiful matte white finish. It’s perfect for painting, sealing, or leaving it as is for a natural look. Create lasting memories with family and friends as you shape, bake, and decorate your unique creations.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 1 hour

Inactive Time: 30 minutes (for cooling)

Servings: vary depending on the size of the crafts

Ingredients:

• 1/2 cup cornstarch

• 1 cup baking soda

• 3/4 cup water

Instructions:

1. In a medium saucepan, combine the cornstarch, baking soda, and water. Stir the mixture over medium heat.

2. Continue stirring the mixture until it begins to thicken and resembles the consistency of mashed potatoes.

3. Once the mixture has reached this consistency, remove it from the heat and cover the dough with a damp cloth. Let it cool down to room temperature.

4. Once cooled, knead the dough on a smooth surface until it’s smooth and pliable.

5. Shape the dough into desired forms or use cookie cutters to create shapes. If you plan to hang them as ornaments, remember to make a hole for the string before baking.

6. Preheat your oven to 175°F (80°C).

7. Place your dough shapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for about 1 hour, or until the crafts are hard.

8. After baking, allow your creations to cool completely.

9. You can now paint, seal, or leave your crafts matte white. Use acrylic paints for vibrant colors, and seal with a clear varnish for durability if desired.

Notes to Make it Better:

• If the dough is too dry, add a bit more water until the desired consistency is reached.

• For colored dough, you can add food coloring or acrylic paint to the mixture before cooking.

• Store any unused dough in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
