Ingredients:
1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp paprika
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
Vegetable oil, for frying
Sweet chili sauce (store-bought)
Instructions:
1. In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
2. In another bowl, whisk the eggs and milk together.
3. Dip the chicken pieces into the flour mixture, then into the egg mixture, and back into the flour mixture again, ensuring they are evenly coated.
4. Place the coated chicken pieces on a baking sheet and refrigerate for 30 minutes to set the coating.
5. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer to 350°F (175°C). Fry the coated chicken pieces in batches for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
6. In a large mixing bowl, toss the fried chicken pieces with the store-bought sweet chili sauce until evenly coated.
7. Serve the Sweet Chili Sauce Coated Popcorn Chicken hot and enjoy!
Notes to Make It Better:
• For extra crispiness, you can double-coat the chicken by repeating the dipping process in the egg and flour mixture.
• Adjust the spiciness level by adding more or less sweet chili sauce according to your preference.
