Ingredients:

• 1 lb pork sausage, uncooked

• 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded

• 2 cups baking mix (e.g., Bisquick) or homemade mix (see below)

• 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

• 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 1/4 cup milk (if needed)

Instructions:

1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.

2. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine sausage, cheese, baking mix, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. If the mixture seems too dry, add milk a tablespoon at a time.

3. Form Balls: Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Bake: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

5. Cool and Serve: Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving platter.

If You Don’t Have Baking Mix:

• 2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 tablespoon baking powder

• 1/2 teaspoon salt

• 1/3 cup shortening or butter

• Mix these ingredients together to make your own baking mix.

Notes to Make it Better:

• Experiment with different types of cheese for varied flavors.

• Serve with a dipping sauce such as honey mustard or ranch.
