Oven-Baked Crispy Tandoori Chicken Tenders with Curry Ketchup Dip
Ingredients
- 6-8 chicken tenders
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 cup water + 1 large egg, whisked together well
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp tandoori powder
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp curry powder
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander or cilantro
- 1/4-1/2 tsp cayenne powder
- olive oil
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400f on top heat.
- Prepare a cooking sheet with banking paper and set to the side.
- In a large bowl add your flour, salt and black pepper. Mix well.
- Lightly dredge your chicken tenders in the flour mixture.
- In another bowl whisk your egg and water together until well combined and little bubbles form at the top.
- When done mixing add your chicken tenders into the water and egg mixture. Shake off any excess flour before adding them to the egg and water wash.
- In the bowl with the flour, salt and black pepper, add the remainder of your ingredients for the tandoori chicken tenders. Mix well until everything is incorporated together.
- Then add your water and egg dredged chicken tenders into the dry mixture. Make sure all the chicken tenders are well coated and there are no baked spots.
- Place them on your baking paper lined cooking sheet giving them about a quarters distance between each tender.
- Drizzle with olive oil and place into the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until crispy on the outside and done on the inside. You can flip them over halfway if you like, but I didn’t.
- Once done, set them on a serving plate and eat with your curry ketchup! Enjoy!
- Mix your ketchup, curry powder and cayenne pepper together very well.
- Add to a sauce bowl and serve with chicken tenders.
