Creamy Potato Soup

Description: A comforting and creamy potato soup that’s perfect for chilly days. This recipe yields a velvety smooth soup with a hint of garlic and onion flavors, topped with your choice of delicious garnishes.

Ingredients:

• 4 medium potatoes, peeled and diced

• 1 small onion, chopped

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 4 cups chicken or vegetable broth

• 1/2 cup milk

• 2 tablespoons butter

• Salt and pepper to taste

• Optional toppings: chopped chives, grated cheese, crumbled bacon, sour cream

Instructions:

1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté for 2-3 minutes until softened.

2. Add the diced potatoes and chicken or vegetable broth to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for about 20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

3. Use an immersion blender or transfer the soup to a blender and puree until smooth.

4. Stir in the milk and season with salt and pepper to taste.

5. Serve hot, with optional toppings such as chopped chives, grated cheese, crumbled bacon, or sour cream.

Notes to Make It Even Better:

• For extra creaminess, consider adding a splash of heavy cream along with the milk.
