"Lemon Pepper Seasoning: A Flavorful Twist"

Lemon pepper seasoning is a blend of cracked black pepper, lemon zest, and salt. It adds a burst of flavor to the fish, making it a perfect seasoning for this dish. You can adjust the amount of seasoning to your taste, but be careful not to overdo it as the lemon can become overpowering.

"The Secret Ingredient: Lemon"

"The Broil Finish"

Ingredients

  • 6 cod filets or filet pieces
  • 1 Lemon, sliced thin & deseeded (seeds make the fish butter!)
  • 1-2 tsps lemon pepper seasoning
  • 3-4 tbsps melted butter, Salted

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375f.
  2. Dice your lemon as thin as you can make it.
  3. Get a casserole dish and over line it with parchment paper.
  4. Add your fish into the parchment paper lined casserole dish.
  5. Pour melted butter over the fish equally.
  6. Season with lemon pepper seasonings.
  7. Top with sliced lemons.
  8. Fold the parchment paper over itself and crimp it to close the paper and the fish inside. This makes a steam on the fish.
  9. Now, just place it into your oven and cook for 5-15 minutes depending on how big your fish pieces are.
  10. At the end I like to open it up and put the fish in the oven on broil at 400f for 2-3 minutes to char the lemons and kinda crisp the fish up.
  11. Then all you have to do is serve and enjoy!
