Salmon Gravy is a delicious and easy-to-make recipe that utilizes leftover grease and pieces from frying salmon Pattie's. The recipe is simple and easy, and only requires a few basic ingredients. To make this recipe, you will need leftover grease and pieces from frying the salmon Pattie's, all-purpose flour, milk, salt, and black pepper.
To begin, in a skillet with the leftover grease, add the flour a little bit at a time until it looks like a paste or roux. Continuously stir it for 5-10 minutes to cook the flour taste out. Next, add the salt and black pepper. Once the roux has darkened to your liking, make sure the heat is on low. Add the milk and stir for a good 5 minutes to incorporate the flour and milk together. Once it's slightly thickened, turn off the heat and keep stirring. It will come together.
If the gravy is too thick, just add a bit more milk and keep stirring. Once it's to your liking, just serve and enjoy with salmon Pattie's and biscuits for dinner.
