Ingredients:

• 2 cups sushi rice, cooked according to package instructions

• 1/4 cup rice vinegar

• 1 tablespoon sugar

• 1 teaspoon salt

• 2 cups imitation crab sticks, shredded

• 1 cup mayonnaise

• 1 cup cream cheese, softened

• 1/2 cup green onions, finely chopped

• 1/2 cup furikake (Japanese seasoning)

• 1 sheet nori (seaweed), cut into small squares for serving

• Soy sauce, for serving

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. Mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt together in a small bowl. Stir this mixture into the cooked sushi rice until well combined. Set the seasoned rice aside.

3. In another bowl, combine the shredded crab sticks, mayonnaise, cream cheese, and green onions.

4. Spread the sushi rice in an even layer in a 9x13-inch baking dish.

5. Spread the crab mixture over the sushi rice, pressing it gently into the rice.

6. Sprinkle the top with furikake.

7. Bake the sushi for about 20 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.

8. Serve the sushi bake hot, scooping spoonfuls onto the nori squares. Drizzle with soy sauce if desired.

Notes:

• For a spicy kick, you can mix some sriracha sauce into the crab mixture.

• The sushi bake is traditionally served with nori, but you can also serve it with rice crackers or eat it on its own like a casserole.
