Prep Time: 20 minutes Cook Time: 10 minutes Inactive Time: 0 minutes Servings: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb chicken tenders

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1-2 tablespoons chicken seasoning (like Lawry’s season salt, black pepper)

  • 3 eggs

  • 1/2 cup water

  • Unseasoned bread crumbs

  • Cooking oil for frying

Instructions:

1. Combine the flour and chicken seasoning in a bowl, mix until well combined.

2. Dip each chicken tender into the seasoned flour, ensuring each tender is fully coated. Shake off any excess.

3. In a separate bowl, beat together the eggs and water to create an egg wash.

4. Dip the flour-coated tenders into the egg wash.

5. Mix together the bread crumbs with the remaining seasoned flour in a third bowl.

6. Dip the egg-washed tenders into the breadcrumb and flour mixture. Then, back into the egg wash, and once again into the breadcrumb and flour mixture. Make sure all tenders are fully coated twice.

7. Allow the chicken tenders to rest while you heat your oil for deep frying.

8. Once the oil is hot enough (around 375°F), deep fry the chicken tenders until they’re golden brown. This should take about 3-4 minutes per side.

9. Remove the tenders from the oil and let them drain on wire racks.

10. Serve with the homemade Copycat Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing and enjoy!

Notes:

  • Letting the chicken rest after breading allows the coating to adhere better during frying.

  • The oil temperature is key to ensuring your chicken tenders are crispy on the outside and cooked through but still juicy on the inside.
