  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 tbsp dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1-2 tsps salt
  • 1-2 tsps black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp dried chili flakes

Instructions

  1. Chop the sausage and add to the pot along with all of the seasonings, butter + oil and tomato sauce.
  2. Rinse out the jar with a full jar of water and add it to the pot.
  3. Mix well and cook on a low simmer, stirring occasionally.
  4. Cook until the sausages are very tender and a lot of the water has left the pot. Continue to chop the sausage until fine while cooking.
  5. Mix 1/4 of each cheese along with the egg and 2 containers of ricotta cheese until combined well.
  6. Add the cheese mixture to a piping bag.
  7. Fill each shell with the ricotta filling and place each shell into a large greased casserole container.
  8. Once sauce is done, pour over the stuffed shells in the casserole dish.
  9. Top with remaining cheese.
  10. Pro tip: spray your aluminum foil before baking something with cheese on top to keep it from sticking!
  11. Cover with aluminum foil and place into a preheated oven of 375F.
  12. Let cook for an hour.
  13. Once finished remove the foil and allow to cook ATLEAST ten minutes before eating.
  14. Serve and enjoy!
